Lake Como, Italy, is located in northern Italy, near the city of Milan and just south of the Italian Alps. It is a large lake, encompassing 56 square miles, and very deep lake at 1300 feet, one of the deepest lakes in Europe. It has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times and is, today, a destination for the rich and famous. The shores of Lake Como are lined with quaint towns, vacation villas, beautiful resort hotels and spas. behind the lake are large slopes, many to the north leading to the Italian Alps. The lake has an unusual inverted "Y" shape, which makes it a unique shape. The town of Como is at the southwestern point of the "Y" and the town of Lecco is at the southeastern point. Perhaps the most well-known town is Bellagio, located at the intersection of the two legs of the "Y". Lake Como is a visually magnificent destination for a wonderful Italian vacation.
Photography is one of my main passions in life. I love photographing anything I see that is beautiful, unusual or special. I enjoy shooting nature, landscape, landmarks, animals, architecture and anything else I see that strikes me as worthy of a camera shot. I especially enjoy travel photography and have been fortunate to have seen many wonderful places in this incredible world of ours.
