Beit Shean is one of the oldest cities in Israel. It was settles as early as 6000 years ago and has been continuously inhabited since. Extensive excavation has revealed over 20 layers of remains from ancient civilizations. Beit Shean is mentioned in the Bible several times and is known as the site where King Saul and his sons were hung from the city walls. The city remained important during the reigns of King David and King Solomon. At various periods the city was occupied by the Canaanites, Philistines, Egyptians, Romans, Ottomans, and finally the Israelis. Although much of the current excavation appears to be from the Roman era, Beit Shean is a remarkable ancient landmark.
Photography is one of my main passions in life. I love photographing anything I see that is beautiful, unusual or special. I enjoy shooting nature, landscape, landmarks, animals, architecture and anything else I see that strikes me as worthy of a camera shot. I especially enjoy travel photography and have been fortunate to have seen many wonderful places in this incredible world of ours. I hope that you will find my work worthy of hanging in your residence or office and enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed presenting it to you. Any comments are always appreciated.
