The black sand beach at Vik is called by it local name, Reynishverfi, and is famous for the expanse of black sand and the 220 feet high boulders in the ocean. To the left of the boulders and the ocean are massive cliffs and caves, which tourists may explore at their leisure. When walking on the black sand beach people are warned to be wary of sudden large waves that can come up without notice and sweep a person out to sea, with deadly results. The strong undertow is very dangerous at this beach, so be warned to stay away from the water.
Photography is one of my main passions in life. I love photographing anything I see that is beautiful, unusual or special. I enjoy shooting nature, landscape, landmarks, animals, architecture and anything else I see that strikes me as worthy of a camera shot. I especially enjoy travel photography and have been fortunate to have seen many wonderful places in this incredible world of ours.
