The Snake River Overlook is a scenic overview first made famous by the illustrious Ansel Adams in 1941. It is a place where the Snake River makes an "S" curve with a superb view of the Grand Tetons in the background. Of course, in the 80 years since Adams took his famous shot the trees have grown tall and the "S" cannot be seen from the overlook the same as he was able to view it. It is still a well-known tourist and photographer's spot in Grand Teton National Park.
