Description
The Roswell Mill bridge spans Vickery Creek, a mill site originally built in 1836, by a wealthy Connecticut businessman. Ultimately, there were several buildings at the mill primarily producing supplies for the Confederacy during the Civil War. After the Civil War, the mill was converted to producing various cotton products, until most of this activity was outsourced overseas. The bridge over Vickery Creek is a beautiful timber-constructed pathway that is now part of a path system under the jurisdiction of the U.S. National Park Service.
