Sedona, Arizona, U.S.A. is a resort and cultural town located in central Arizona. It's main attractions are the numerous red sandstone structures that dot the area landscape. Many of these structures have given names. Some notable structures are Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock, Coffee Pot Rock along with many others. These formations appear to glow brilliant orange and red by the rising or setting sun. These "red rocks' form a backdrop for many pursuits including hiking, photography, mountain biking, four wheeling, as well as spiritual pursuits. Sedona is also known for its many art galleries that offer works from artists from all over the U.S.
The first American settler, John J. Thompson, moved to Oak Creek in 1876, in an area known for peach and apple orchards. Other early settlers were ranchers and farmers. In the 1950's Sedona started to become a tourist destination. Today there are many vacation homes, spas, and hotels in the area and it has become a year-rou...
Photography is one of my main passions in life. I love photographing anything I see that is beautiful, unusual or special. I enjoy shooting nature, landscape, landmarks, animals, architecture and anything else I see that strikes me as worthy of a camera shot. I especially enjoy travel photography and have been fortunate to have seen many wonderful places in this incredible world of ours.
