Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs. This image was shot from the Rialto Bridge.
Photography is one of my main passions in life. I love photographing anything I see that is beautiful, unusual or special. I enjoy shooting nature, landscape, landmarks, animals, architecture and anything else I see that strikes me as worthy of a camera shot. I especially enjoy travel photography and have been fortunate to have seen many wonderful places in this incredible world of ours. I hope that you will find my work worthy of hanging in your residence or office and enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed presenting it to you. Any comments are always appreciated.
