Description
The Warren Covered Bridge is a wooden structure that crosses the Mad River in Warren, Vt. The bridge was constructed in 1880 using the queen post truss design. It features wooden siding, a wood plank floor and a metal gabled roof. It is 58 ft. in length and is supported by concrete faced stone at either end. An unusual feature of this bridge is that it features wood siding on the inside as well as the outside. Most Vermont covered bridges have exposed structures on the insides. The Warren Covered Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
