The Baha'i Gardens of Haifa, Israel, were opened in 2001, and comprise 19 terraces extending up the side of Mt. Carmel. In the center terrace is the Shrine of the Bab, the resting place of the Prophet, Herald. The immaculately designed and maintained gardens were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.
