Description
The Treasury at Petra, Jordan, is a remarkable example of ancient architecture and construction. It is believed to have been built as early as the 5th century B.C. Because of the overhang of the stone above, The Treasury has been protected from the elements and is incredibly well-preserved. Al-Khazneh, as it is called in Arabic, is one of the most elaborate temples in the ancient Arab Nabatean Kingdom city of Petra. Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
