The one ninety one Peachtree tower (on the left) and the Weston Peachtree Plaza Hotel are two of the landmark buildings in central downtown Atlanta. The Peachtree Plaza was the tallest hotel in the world at 723 ft. when it opened in 1976. It contains1068 rooms and is noted for its exterior elevators that give occupants a fabulous view of downtown and midtown Atlanta as it ascends to the top where there is a restaurant that revolved 360 degrees. The 191 Peachtree office tower was completed in 1991and contains 1,215202 sf. of floor area. It stands 770 feet tall and has a unique "double crown" on top. In its early years it was considered one of Atlanta's premier business addresses, and is still well regarded as one of downtown's classiest buildings.
