Description
The Bank of America building and plaza is located in midtown Atlanta, Georgia, on Peachtree St., at the corner of North Ave. The building, a classic postmodern design stands 1023 feet tall, making it the tallest building south of New York City and Chicago. Its 55 floors contain 1,312,980 sq. ft.. The architects situated the structure at a 45 degree angle with the street giving adding to its already striking appearance. The 90 obelisk-like spire at the top sits on top of an open lattice lighted pyramid that gives off an beautiful glow at night. Built in 1991, the building was completed in only 14 months, one of the fastest construction times for a building of its height.
