Description
Smith Creek, in the Chattahoochee National Forest, is formed by Anna Ruby Falls, a twin waterfall adjacent to Georgia's Unicoi State Park. Anna Ruby is an unusual waterfall in that it is created by two creeks, Curtis Creek, which falls 150 feet and York Creek, which falls 50 feet. After they merge at the bottom of Anna Ruby Falls they form Smith Creek, a rugged, rocky waterway that flows rapidly downhill displaying many large boulders, rapids and beautiful landscapes. The hike to the falls is an easy .5 mile paved path adjacent to Smith Creek. There are many places to stop along the trail and take in the beauty of the north Georgia landscape.
